Review: Benefit Coralista Box Blush

The Benefit Box blushes are one of the most popular products in the brand. There are various different colours, and one of them are Coralista.
PROS: Coralista is a really pretty peachy pinky coral with a peachy gold shimmer. It is SUPER pigmented and gives off a beautiful colour on the cheeks. It comes with 12 gms of product which is even more product than the MAC Beauty Powders which comes with 10 gms of product. I used to think that 10 gms was the maximum amount of product you could get in a powder, but i guess i was wrong ;). The Coralista Blush has beautiful packaging (as seen in the picture above) and it kinda reminds me of a forest or zoo for some reason. The packaging may be made out of cardboard, but its pretty sturdy. The blush also has a beautiful floral scent which is very feminine.

CONS: Even though the blush has a beautiful scent, people can be sensitive towards these scents and can therefore suffer with harmful breakouts which obviously, nobody likes. The blush can also be really powdery and sometimes comes out looking like it has more shimmer than actual colour on the cheeks. On really dark skintones, I would avoid buying this blush and go for something a little brighter, as it won't show up on the cheeks at all.

Overall, this product really looks pretty on my tan skin, and is a lovely addition to my makeup collection. I'm pretty sure you can find dupes for this product, but i have nothing like this in my makeup collection.

5 of the Stupidest Beauty Myths

So you guys already know what this post is all about. The title says it all. So lets just skip the intro. But just in case you didn't understand what the title means, its basically 5 of the most ridiculous beauty tips I have ever heard.

Myth: Girls that are under the age of 17 should avoid buying or wearing makeup.
Truth: Its absolutely fine for younger girls wear make up. I'm barely 13, and I started collecting makeup when I was 12. Buying or wearing makeup isn't about how young or old you are, its about taking care of your skin  and how well you use your makeup. If you use your makeup well, but don't take care of your skin, you're just going to end up with acne and breakouts. but if you take care of your skin, but don't use your makeup, you just wasted money for all that makeup. Even if you just bought an eyeshadow worth $2 or $3 dollars, and don't use it, you are wasting that small amount of money, and you could have used it for something having a little more importance, like chewing gum.

Myth: Light and pale coloured makeup products make tan/dark/really dark skin look dead and dry.
Truth: I have tan skin, and I for one love light and pale colours on my skin. Especially the ones that are peach or pink for my cheeks. I love how subtle the colour looks and I love the way that it also brightens up my face. If excess product is used, than any product on any skintone would end up looking horrible on the face.

Myth: Wear colours that have a similar undertone to your face.
Truth: Its not necessary for you to wear makeup that has the same undertone as your face. Makeup is all about experimenting with various products. And I own so many products that I love that are absolutely different to the undertone of my face.

Myth: Wearing bold eyes and lips are a big no-no.
Truth: I have seen so many makeup looks that have bold eyes and bold lips. I think that bright green eyes with a bright coral lip looks fantastic. I also love blue eyes with hot pink lips looks gorgeous. The above statement is false, but only to a certain extent. One look that includes bold eyes and lips that I hate is the idea of having black eyes with teal lips, which I'm pretty sure no one wears (except on Halloween time)

Myth: Do not use sponge tips or your fingers to apply your makeup.
Truth: You can definitely use your fingers and sponge tips to apply your makeup. Sometimes, for some jobs, they actually work better than my brushes. All you have to make sure is that they are clean.

Beauty Tag!: Would you rather- Beauty Edition

Sooooo this is my first beauty tag I've done. And i thought this would be a good idea because that meant I wouldn't have to do ANOTHER review. I decided to do something fun and entertaining instead, so I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY do hope you enjoy!
1)Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
ans: Definitely lose all my palettes and eyeshadows. After all, you can always use an eyeliner as an eyeshadow!

2)Would you rather chop of all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
ans: Never be able to cut it again. As as my hair is clean, its good.

3)Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
ans: CORAL!!!!!! Even though pink is more versatile, coral is my favourite makeup colour (apart from purple, of course).

4)If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
ans: I would probably pay $750 for makeup and $250 for clothes. But since I have to choose only one, obviously, I would spend it on makeup.

5)Would you rather use lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
ans: Eyeliner as lipstick. Remember, there are nude eyeliners available in the market, just double them up as lipstick!

6)Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
ans: Sephora. I have a lot of MAC items already. And sephora has so many more brands to choose from.

7)Would you rather use only one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
ans: Probably one lip colour for the rest of my life. I need at least two eyshadows to get a good eye look (a highlight color and a lid colour). And besides, one nice pink lip colour would almost go with every look I create.

8)Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
ans: Summer clothes in winter. Only because where I live its hot all year round, and I do where summer clothes in winter a lot anyway.

9)Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
ans: Bright nails. Its so much more fun. And anyway, I can't live without seeing something brightly colored everyday.

10)Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or favourite eye product?
ans: Give up my favourite lip product. Its easier for me to find a dupe of lip colour than an eye colour.

11)Would you rather be able to wear your hair in a ponytail, or a messy bun?
ans: A ponytail. Mainly for school, and to keep the hair out of my face.

12)Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never be able to where lipgloss?
ans: Never be able to wear lipgloss. i can wear shiny lipstick instead. But nailpolish is the one and only thing you can put on your nails to get some colour.

13)Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have non at all or sharpie them everyday?
ans: Probably sharpie them in everyday. But only if they have a soft black shade.

14)Would you rather live without makeup or nailpolish?
ans: Definitely live without nailpolish. I probably love makeup about 3 and a half times better than nailpolish.

Review: Nars Laguna Bronzer

The Nars Laguna Bronzer is definitely a bestseller from Nars Cosmetics. So many girls have it in their makeup collection (including me) because of it's beautiful colour. It seems to be the lightest shade from all the three bronzers that Nars has, but it suits a variety of skin tones.
One thing that I absolutely love about this Bronzer is definitely it's colour. It's a gorgeous tanned brown with a golden glaze. Some people describe it as "too shimmery" or "too glittery" but it does not have any glitter at all. The golden is very natural looking on the skin and gives a soft tanned glow rather than a glittery face. This Bronzer does seem to have too much sheen to be a contour colour. But it's really pretty for a soft dust all over the face. I love this Bronzer for summers and winters as it gives you a lovely natural tan for the summer but is still subtle enough for winter.
The texture of this product is pretty good as well. The pigmentation is just right, not too pigmented and not too sheer. The texture is smooth, and goes on nicely but Somehow is still a little powdery. One thing that I absolutely adore about this product is that it does not feel too powdery on the face, even though the actual product may be a little powdery.
Overall, i thing product is a great splurge. If you already have a bronze that you love, you don't need to buy this product, but if you want a good Bronzer that'll work for any season nicely, go for this one.

My first Review: MAC Studio Moisture Tint

The Mac Studio Moisture Tint has an SPF 15 and is basically a tinted moisturiser available in 7 shades:
1)light
2)medium plus
3)dark plus
4)medium
5)medium dark
6)dark
7)and deep dark
PROS: The moisturiser is quite creamy and is easy to blend into the skin. It dries in about 1 to 1 and a half minutes and has a pretty good coverage considering it is a tinted moisturiser. If you would like to splurge a little bit on a tinted moisturiser for fall or winter, this would be a good choice. It leaves a very natural and almost satin finish behind. You could set it with a high coverage powder like the MAC Studio Fix powder or the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to get a higher coverage and a more matte finish.

CONS: You wouldn't like this tinted moisturiser too much for summer if you have really oily skin or if you live in a humid area. Since I live in a very humid area, the moisturiser feels oily and a tad bit sticky. It leaves a rather shiny finish than a satin one and feels a little uncomfortable and heavy on the skin too leaving a strange sensation behind.

Overall, this product isn't too good and neither is it too bad. If you are trying to look for a good tinted moisturiser that works well during any season throughout the year, and should be worth all your money spent, this wouldn't be a good choice. There are cheaper and better tinted moisturisers available in the drugstore which you might love.

Overall grade: 75%
Price: $30
